● 夢の中へ/グラストンベリー・フェスティバル

FUJIROCKが大スキなのです。
苗場の穏やかな空気、美しい自然、おいしい食事、それら全てを
素晴らしい音楽と共に過ごす至福の時。
それはまさにガンダーラ。最後の楽園であり地上の星。
新たなる至福の夏に向け、早くもはっちゃけモードに移行しつつある僕。

しかし、しかしだ。
苗場に行くたび、「FUJIは最高だ」と口にするたび、
ココロのドコかに引っかかるものがある。
それは行った事もなく、話に聞いただけのあの祭り。あの地名。
経験者はみな目を輝かせ、口を揃えて最高だという。天国だという。
「FUJIもイイけど、やっぱ…」と。

その名はグラストンベリー。イギリスの片田舎。

この田舎町、一般に知名度が高いとは思いませんが、
音楽を嗜好する人間にとっては特別な意味を持っている場所です。
このblogを読んでいる人のうち何人かは必ず、
この単語を見ただけで、おそらくドーパミン、エンドルフィン等の
いわゆる脳内麻薬物質がダダ漏れ状態になるコトでしょう。
頭ン中にドパーっと広がって、サイケな夢を見るコトでしょう。
そう、グラストンベリー。
それは世界でも最も知名度の高いロックフェスである
グラストンベリー・フェスティバルが行われる場所…
つまり、音楽聖闘士たちにとってのサンクチュアリなのです。

というワケで、一度は行きたい、でも遠い、休めない。
でも行きたい、金が無い、勝手が分からない、でも行きたイー！
と極東で叫び続ける僕の声が届いたのかどうか。
本家英国ではスデに発表済みではありますが、
1994年～2004年のベスト・パフォーマンス・ライヴを収録したDVDが、
日本でもついに発売決定とのコト。やっほほーい。
発売日の5月25日に即購入は決定事項、そいつをエンドレスに流しながら、
丸一日エアギターでもして過ごすとしましょう。

さらにオマケ情報。
「the Glastonbury Games」というのがあるんです。
ココには３つのゲームがあり、その得点が合計700ポイントに達すると、
な、なんと、グラストンベリーフェスのVIPチケが！
当たるんですよ。当たるかもしれないんですよ。
当然表記は英語なのですが、左右キーとスペースキーしか使いませんので、
実際Playしてみればスグ要領つかめると思います。
クリアすると登場する応募フォームに「COUNTRY」欄がありますから、
ビシッとJAPANを選択してやればOK。天国行きチケを手に入れたも同然よ。

グラストンには、友達が去年行ったんですが、最高すぎるみたいですね。フジロックとは比べる対象じゃないとか言ってました。

グラストンはやっぱ憧れですよね。
今年こそ、と何年思い続けていることやら…
